I really don't know what to say. Why haven't I been posting? Where have I been? Who am I hanging out with? These are great questions and I wish I had the answers.

I started working for my father in August AND got a new boyfriend so I've been pretty busy. I will say this though.....I'm very happy. I didn't think it was possible to feel this good. I'm ecstatic. For the first time in my life I feel somewhat "normal".....Ok we all know I'm crazy but I feel normal in the sense that all I want to do is go to work, come home and cook some new un-edible meal for Cash and watch him pretend that it tastes "great." I EVEN DO LAUNDRY!!!!! Yep you heard that right.

Hopefully everyone is doing well............Sorry I have been gone for so long.

It was a great weekend! I went to College Station to visit some girlfriends. OMG we had the best time. Friday night we went to a Halloween party....obviously dressed up. The party was fun. I've posted a few pics from Friday and random pics from Saturday....like the one of the 3 of us at the table and the one of me driving Meggie's new whip. It's awesome! I feel like a blimp. Why does football season always do this to me. Yesterday we watched 3 games, ate Fatburger and ordered two pizzas. I swear this state LOVES their Cowboys.....it's almost cultlike.

Other than yesterday's game-a-thon the weekend was fun. On Saturday my friend Laura threw her sister a surprise b-day party for her 30th. It was a lot of fun. Great food, margaritas and good company. We stayed up pretty late. I feel rested today though. Couldn't finish the game last night. Went to bed at 10:00. Thank God. I have quite a bit to do today.

It's 7:15am and I feel great. I've already been to Starbucks and taken a shower. Don't need to be at the office until 9:00, but I want to get a head start. I'll probably go in at 8:30 or so.

I want to talk about 2 things today. First I'll start with heartburn. Why at 27 yrs of age am I suddenly getting it all the time?? I woke up around 7:30 and had it!! What is the deal? It seems like it's getting worse too. I noticed it for the first time about 6 months ago and didn't pay to much attention to it b/c I thought it would go away. NOT SO. Now I feel as if I can't even eat a meal w/out taking 2 Prilosecs!!

Google. I am obsessed with "googling" people. I can't help it. Friends, family, bloggers, pets, celebrities......I search them all! I know it's like prying into people's private lives but I don't really care. Does this make me a bad person???

I'm back from Colorado and I had such a great time. It was very relaxing. My dad's golf cart was so funny I had to take like 10 pictures of it. The one with my dad on the tee box I took Sunday night....we were just taking a little sunset cruise in the gc. Most of these were taken then. The modern looking house was my favorite one in the neighborhood.

Just got back from a walk. Went about 3 miles around the golf course. What I love about this place are all the cute little old people in their carts. It's basically Bushwood in the mountains and my dad is Ty Webb. lol

The neighbor "Beedee" came over last night for cocktail hour. She's in her mid 70's and smokes 4 packs a day..........while we enjoyed a glass of wine she brought her own Coors Cutter beer with her. It took everything I had not to just break out in laughter. She's a total pistol.....I didn't want her to leave!! I'm going to hit the shower and see where the day takes me.

oh and fyi- my dad has a teal blue golf cart with chrome wheels and a fringed out canopy!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the best thing I've ever seen.

I landed yesterday evening around 7:00. The weather is so nice here. I'm here for 5 days staying at my parents summer house. Mijo would love it.........but it would have been too much of a hassle to bring him. The change in altitude is messing up my breathing. Weird I know.

Woke up about 30 minutes ago to the rain. :-( Guess i won't be playing golf today. Think I'll just blog away.......most of my parents friends are in their 70's and I don't know how to play bridge so..............

Any ideas as to what i should do today??????

I've been going to the same nail salon for 2 years now and I had the WEIRDEST pedicure today. I called and talked to my lady and she said she was busy but that "Danny" could squeeze me in. Male nail techs are not new to me.....especially in the Vietnamese salons but this guy was different. I've never seen so many facial scars...or war wounds on someone. His pinky was broken at one time and was never set so it looked odd. He said "U Pick Cola" so I found my polish and he escorted me to the chair. The first thing I noticed about Danny was the fact that he had 2 different boots on. One was a Timberland and the other was a no name. I try to keep conversation a a minimal but he wanted to know "why I no work today." Instead of going through my whole life story I just told him "day off." As he is removing my old polish I notice that he has a tattoo on top of his right wrist.

I figured that it was either a birthday of a loved or lost one but I was wrong. I asked him what it meant and he gave me the scariest look then started laughing like Linda Blair in The Exorcist. He told me it was a "souveneir" he got in Hong Kong. He moved here from China like 5-10 years ago. "Do you have family here Danny? I ask. "No, in Vietnam." Hmmmm ok. I wasn't about to ask how he ended up doing nails in South Texas but I couldn't help wonder how this dude with rotten teeth and weird numbers inked on his wrist AND wearing 2 different boots ended up here.

Well it's simple.... He was in a Hong Kong prison for 20 years and either escaped or was released from the place and hopped on a boat to America and now he's doing my nails. FABULOUS!!!

When he's not working at Trevino-Torres Tailoring he's dancing. Heat, Johnny Bobbits, The Toolshed...he hits all of them. Karlos even goes to local events like last weeks Folklife Festival. That was fun until he was chased out by the Pancho Villa impersonator.

These pants took him 3 months to make. He went to the Mercado and bought 43 terracotta pots...you know the ones with the mirrors on them? Well he carefully removed each one and cleaned them before using a special adhesive to attach them to the pants. Beautiful aren't they? With the leftover squares he decided to make this red tunic. Karlos feels it gives the audience a little something "extra" when the sun hits his pants just right and puts a twinkle in their eyes.

Last week he finished the choreography for his dance to the Scissor Sister's Filthy Gorgeous. He is performing it tonight at his Uncle Jose's 50th birthday party. The entire family is expected to attend.....everyone except his mom who sadly passed away from breast cancer when Karlos was 13. Oh and his dad probably won't come either. It's not easy being the son of the leader of the Banditos. (Mexican Hell's Angels)

Weekend Recap

Hey! I just got back this afternoon from the coast and I am SUNBURNED! I literally bath in sunscreen but when you're out on the boat in the blazing sun it doesn't seem to matter. I have 3 days to recover because I'm going back down on Wednesday. The ROC (Rockport Offshore Challenge) starts Thursday and I'm super excited. Keep your fingers crossed for Stephen and Clayton.....the winner gets around $400,000!!! The chances are slim.....it's like looking for a needle in a haystack but they're still there!!

I just posted some pics from the weekend and a recent pic of my niece Reagan that i took a couple weeks ago. She's adorable. There's no pics of me b/c I don't trust anyone to use my new camera. I'm afraid some drunk will break or drop it. There will be plenty of pics at the ROC....maybe I'll let my guard down and let someone use it. mabye ;-)

Just Got Back From The Movies!

I wanted to go last night at midnight to see Pirates of The Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest but was too tired so we went this morning. It is playing every thirty minutes at the theater down the street! Stephen went at 9:00am to buy the tickets for the 11:30 show. I was very impressed....it was really good. Of course the first one is still my favorite but the makeup/ costumes/ graphics in this one were UNBELIEVABLE! You should go see it this weekend.

p.s. I'm extra super excited about Will Ferrel's new movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.......the previews were hilarious. Transformers looks really good too but we have to wait a year until it comes out.

Rain Rain Go Away

The job interview never happened. I knew deep down that I would never take the job and quite frankly didn't feel like driving 30 minutes to get there. I know I know....how lazy of me right?? I just didn't feel like going.

This was the first 4th I've spent down at the coast and it rained the ENTIRE time. The funnest thing we did was put like 4 long tables together at the bar and played games and drank the day away. We had Yahtzee going on one end, poker on the other, dice, dominos......you name it. OUT OF CONTROL!!!

I'm going to second the motion that we start doing that even when its not raining.

Oh and btw........my new favorite game is called "Shut The Box" play it and you'll see what I mean.

Job interview today at 2:00

It's for some dumb desk job at a local brokerage firm (which we all know is DEFINITELY not my cup of tea).....in fact if they offer it to me I'll say no but I really just need the interview practice. Is that weird? Oh well, we'll see. :-)

I swear if they ask me about any questions or concerns I may have I will say right off the bat that i think hose are unsanitary and heinous and I will not wear them......even if they are required.

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was good. Friday night I was so tired I went to bed at 9:30. We had rain and t-storms all night (which means that Mijo sleeps on my head) so I kept waking up.

Saturday I went to Hunt, Tx. where Stephen's family goes every year to relax/vacation. We had a great time.....although it did rain a little.

So, I'm back home getting dressed to go to Starbucks. I'm going to need all the caffeine I can get.....searching these online job boards is EXTREMELY boring. I wish I could just create a job for myself......problem is that I have no idea what the hell I want to do. Please spare me the "career counselor" advice b/c I DO NOT WANT TO BE A TEACHER! Three of my friends are teachers and they are good at what they do, I just couldn't do it......don't have the patience. At least I'm admitting it right??

Had a great weekend! I hooked up with my old high school pals at Rainey's awesome ranch just outside of town. We swam, sunbathed, played basketball, watched Harper cook his first brisket...which was awesome, danced to Molly's TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ipod playlist she worked on for 24 hrs straight, I rode Rainey's brother's horse.....nobody else wanted to ride and drove around the ranch in her Ford "Think".... the coolest solar powered golf cart I've ever been in and had lots of cocktails. Candace Miss Nebraska 2004

The past couple of years have been a whirlwind of excitement for Candace. Her mother entered her in a Sears toddler modeling contest 23 yrs ago and she has been on the pageant circuit ever since. She really wanted to do the Miss USA pageants but unfortunately, they don't take girls under 5'8. Miss USA is about looks and they don't mess with the talent portion and besides she can play the violin like nobody's business. During her reign as Miss Nebraska, she visited many different orphanages across the US and even went to a few in Africa! This picture was taken in a small village in Zimbabwe. Packing for this trip was difficult. Would they provide her with bug spray? Would she have the proper lighting in her room? Will she have access to a freezer to put her mask in? These are questions she needed answered. She wanted to "fit in" or "blend in" with the people so she got the great idea to paint one of her violin's like a zebra. YES! She thought, this would really help her make a connection with the people.
